Selma High School Boys Tennis

Selma 1, Liberty (Madera Ranchos) 8. The Bears fell in the D5 Boys Tennis Final 8-1 to the Liberty Hawks from the Madera Ranchos. Selma finishes the season Runner-up in Valley and second place in the CSL with a 17-5 record.

Selma 7, Kerman 2. The Bears defeated the Kerman Lions in the D5 Semifinal this afternoon in Selma. The Bears clinched the match with a third set tiebreaker victory from #3 Singles Navdeep Sanghera. The D5 Final is Thursday, May 5 at 4PM in Selma.

The #1 seeded Bears will host the Kerman Lions for the D5 Semifinal in Selma on Wednesday May 15th at 4PM.

Selma 8, Coalinga 1. The Bears hosted the Coalinga Horned Toads on Thursday afternoon and were victorious 8-1. The Bears advance into the D5 Semi's and will host Kerman on Tuesday at 4PM.

Selma 7, Dinuba 2. The Bears finished league with a 7-2 victory over the Dinuba Emporers. Selma finishes league in Second Place with an 8-2 record. Clinching the match for Selma today was Abraham Garcia at #5 singles with a huge 10-5 third set tiebreaker win!

Selma 5, Immanuel 4 Selma hosted the Immanuel Eagles on Tuesday afternoon and beat them 5-4 for the second time this season. The Bears were up 4-2 after singles and the doubles tandem of Patrick Smith and Edsel Antunez clinched the team victory. The 7-2 Bears host Dinuba Wednesday afternoon at 4PM for the last home match of league.

Selma 5, Immanuel 4. The Bears traveled to Reedley and defeated the Immanuel Eagles 5-4 on Thursday afternoon. We lead 4-2 after singles and Patrick Smith and Edsel Antunez sealed the team win with an 8-1 victory at first doubles. Our next match is in Dinuba on 4/16 at 4PM.

Selma 9, Kingsburg 0. The Bears hosted the Kingsburg Vikings on Friday afternoon and blanked them. Solid singles play paved the way for a complete team victory.

Selma 8, Fowler 1. The now 7-2 Bears traveled Tuesday afternoon and defeated the Fowler Redcats 8-1. The Bears played strong singles behind Patrick Smith's 8-0 victory over Thomas Quintana and then went on to sweep doubles.

The Bears tied once again to Immanuel in sets but won in games 38-29 to receive the title of Tier III Champions of the VTI.

The Bears tied sets and games against Sunnyside but came away with the win due to a solid 8-2 from Edsel Antunez at number one singles.

The Selma Bears prevailed over the Hanford Bullpups 6-0.
