I moved to Sherman Oaks about a year and a half ago so I was in need of a new dentist. My old dentist recommended Sherman Oaks Dentistry and the reviews were great so I decided to check it out. My first visit was to meet the doctor and do an exam, since I thought I had a couple of cavities, according to my previous dentist. To my surprise, Dr. Perlaza told me I didn't have any cavities and I just need to be better about wearing my night guard so my teeth aren't so sensitive. ...He went into depth about his knowledge on grinding at night and how he could tell what was a cavity and what wasn't, based on my X-rays. I left feeling relieved and informed. I came back today for a cleaning with Stephanie and I had a great experience once again Stephanie was so sweet and gentle. I usually feel a little bit of pain when I get my teeth cleaned but this time, I felt no pain. Also, she kept telling me how my teeth were in such good shape, which I really appreciated. I try so hard to keep my teeth really clean but the staff at my last dentist office always told me I wasn't doing enough. By far the best dentist in the world I've been going to Sherman Oaks Dentistry since I can remember (25 years at least). Even when I lived in Hawaii, I flew back for my dentist appts (i know, crazy but that's how great and safe they make you feel). The office staff are as sweet as can be and so helpful. Dr. Harry Perlaza is amazing. I hate needles and anything sharp, and he makes me feel at ease. I've recommended Sherman Oaks Dentistry to many friends and colleagues who equally share the same sentiment.
