Our adjusted case rate increased from 29.9 to 34.1 daily cases per 100,000 residents.The unadjusted case rate is 30.9, but was adjusted up because the county’s per capita testing volume is lower than the state average. The Northern California region, which includes Shasta, has 28.2% of ICU beds available. If the region falls below 15%, it would become subject to the Regional Stay Home Order. Right now, Shasta County remains in the purple tier. Any businesses that are allowed to be open must be using the modifications required in state guidance. This means: o Open: Hair salons, personal care services, hotels o 25% capacity: Retail, shopping centers o Outdoors only: Restaurants, museums, zoos, aquariums, places of worship, movie theaters, gyms and fitness centers, wineries, family entertainment centers (kart racing, miniature golf, batting cages), cardrooms, satellite wagering o Closed: Bars, breweries and distilleries with no meals Testing is now available in Enterprise, Anderson, Shasta Lake City and South Redding, in addition to Shasta College. Whole Person Care coordinates a variety of health and social services for their clients. Individuals may go from homelessness to housed, all while their mental and physical health are cared for by a team of case managers. 2020 has brought its fair share of challenges, and it's important to celebrate victories. For this #SuccessStorySunday, we are excited to announce that 'The Woodlands II" project is complete and new residents have moved in! The second round of construction resulted in an additional 20 units of affordable housing in Shasta County. A total of 29 of the 75 total apartments house people with severe mental health challenges who were homeless or at risk of becoming homeless....
