Another "Point 2 Ponder" From the Pastor's Desk: Let's talk about work, specifically hard work. Because hard work is necessary if one expects to ever be successful in life. Whether your goal is obtaining a degree, landing a particular job, running your own business, or even just securing and maintaining a meaningful relationship; you will find that nothing of any real substantive value comes without continued effort, sacrifice and yes, hard work. ... How much more then should we expect to put into our spiritual walks with Christ Jesus, our Lord and Creator? Think of it this way...Christ poured out His life for us, now we can honor Him by pouring ourselves into the proper work ethic necessary in order to be considered true disciples of Christ. Remember the word of God tells us in 1 Cor 15:58 "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord."
