Although this is an extreme case, it is a goo...d reminder to observe safe contact lens use and always be aware of the health of your eye. To reduce the risk of infection, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend not sleeping in contact lenses without discussing doing so with an eye doctor, not combining old and new contact lens solution, and replacing lenses as recommended.
