WE'RE HAPPY TO INTRODUCE THE NEW MEMBER OF OUR TEAM, DR. BOB FITT. Dr. Fitt received his B.S. degree from Cum Laude UC Irvine in 1974 and DDS degree from UCLA in 1978. He is a general dentist treating pediatric, teenage, adult and senior patients. He enjoys hiking, surfing, and playing classical music (plays trumpet in the Peninsula Symphony, the Ohlone Wind Orchestra, and other free- lance brass gigs). His wife Karen and their 2 sons, Eron (32) and Alex (23) enjoy gardening, walking together, good friends, cooking good food (and eating it!), art, nature, and travel. ORAL THRUSH "CANDIDIASIS" Is a disease that is caused by a fungus that develops on the soft, moist tissues inside your mouth. It is marked by white patches in the oral cavity. Is common among denture wearers, infants/kids, people in poor health and with systemic diseases (such as diabetes). Talk with your dentist if you develop candidiasis. He or she can counsel you on ways to treat the condition.

DENTIST FITTED MOUTHGUARDS There is no reason anyone should put their teeth and the teeth of their kids at risk. Ask your dentist how you can get a custom fit mouthguard to ensure protection at sporting events.

Hand washing is the step #1 in the check-list to avoid complications in our dental office. Very important indeed!

DRY MOUTH Q&A: Why is my mouth dry? Is that because I am old? NO! Having a dry mouth is not a result of aging, but is often related to taking medicines. Q&A: What can I do if my mouth is dry? Check with your dentist or physician to find out what the cause may be. Your dentist or physician may be able to change your medicines so that they have less of a drying effect.... You can also try to: Use mouth moisteners and sprays; Sip water throughout the day; Have sugar-free gum. See more
