BREAKING: The Glens will be the only SF club in the new #USLAcademy League, which consists of the top U15-U19 prospects at clubs with Senior First Teams in the USL Championship, USL League One, and USL League Two. Our Southwest Division rivals are confirmed: Phoenix Rising Football Club, Orange County Soccer Club, New Mexico United, FC Tucson, Ventura County Fusion, Colorado Rush Professional Development, and El Paso Locomotive FC. Our USL-A roster will be made up of the SF... Glens Academy’s top prospects in the 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, and 2002 age groups, with the emphasis on identifying and developing future First Team players in a pre-professional environment. Also, each club is mandated to have a USL Academy Youth Network, which will allow us the ability to enter mutually beneficial partnerships with other youth clubs for players to be a part of our USL-A roster. We’re absolutely excited to offer our U15-U19 players this opportunity in addition to the teams they already play on in the NPL Champions League, NPL 1, and NorCal Premier. The USL Academy also fits into our Pathway Pyramid down the line for our U13-U14 players currently competing in MLS NEXT, NPL, and NorCal Premier.
