Needs Rescue In Petaluma CA. Share! Please let me know if you are interested and I will get you in contact with the owners. Friend of owner says:... "A person I know is looking to rehome a Pyrenees dog. He’s a male not fixed about 4-5 years old. Super friendly, good with chickens, cats, and sheep. He just wanders and the guy doesn’t want him to cause an accident on the road. Let me know if you know someone interested" When asked how he is with other dogs family responded: "He’s never caused problems with mine. I’ve never seen him get angry. He’s just super friendly." (Wish I owned a home so I could adopt him. Sounds like this guy is a gem! )

Bosa is on the right. He is one of our newest trainees. Bosa came to us because he was killing the sheep he was supposed to protect. River is on the left. River helps me train the newbies. . Anyhow Bosa is absolutely in love with River. He loves his guidance. Bosa is rarely more than a few feet away from River. Bosa has made a huge change since he has been here. He is doing great with the goats, chickens and my sheep.

https://m.facebook.com/groups/345272592993535 I do not have room right now or this girl would be here. Here is a trained LGD. She needs a little more space than the 3 acres she is currently on.

How much is that doggie in the window? The one with the wagging tail? How much is that doggie in the window? I do hope that doggie is for sale. That is quite a crew. I'm scared to open the door.

This 7 month old Great Pyrenees came to us a little over 3 weeks ago. She was a family pet. The basis of my training is to create a bond and trust, with that, my dogs learn to respect and value livestock. Because I love them, they love me they care about the things I care about. I think this puppy is doing a fine job protecting that little baby goat.

Serenity LGD Rescue 501c3 19.07.2020

The coyotes have surrounded the property and the dogs are not happy about it. Go ahead come on in. Good luck.

Serenity LGD Rescue 501c3 15.07.2020

The dog on the left is here for socialization training. She is 3 years old and her owner has spent her whole life avoiding other dogs because she wasn't nice to other dogs. Since being here she has made good friends with 2 of my male dogs. When I sent her owner video of her playing with the male dogs she was happy. Then she challenged me and said "what about a female dog"? Game on! .......The dog on the right is a female dog. ... It just proves if you take your time, do proper introductions and build trust dogs are resilient and are always open to learning through new experiences.

Happy Mother's Day....even moms who only have 4 legged children. I want to introduce our newest student. Samson: all attitude with lots of hair. 10 week old. 11 pound fluff ball. He came all of the way from the LA area. No judgement about his previous owners. Just enjoy the picture of the cute puppy. He is here now and I am going to turn him into the best LGD that I possibly can.

Serenity LGD Rescue 501c3 15.06.2020

I wanted to share the new sign I had made.

Serenity LGD Rescue 501c3 26.05.2020

The joy of an LGD. One minute she is posing looking so regal and the next she played in the mud. How can this even be the same dog?

Serenity LGD Rescue 501c3 06.05.2020

Who let the dogs out?

The other night I posted a picture of Trixie with the baby goats. Here is a video of her in action with the baby goats. She cares for them as if they were her puppies. I taught Trixie how to guard my animal's. This instinct she has to care for them so tenderly is not something that comes easy. She has learned the value of livestock. When she first got here she killed my favorite chicken. After 3 weeks of being here she was 100% chickens safe. She has come so so far. Enjoy!

Hello. I hope everyone is having a nice Easter. Remember back in October I took in a 9 month old dog who was a puppy herself and her 8 puppies? Well this is the mom. Trixie. One of the puppies was tested and they are 50% great Pyrenees 25% Anatolian Shepherd and 25% German shepherd. Prior to coming to Serenity LGD Rescue Trixie and the puppies father lived in a kennel together. She was not exposed to livestock ever. After one month of being here she was 100% chicken safe, goa...t safe, sheep safe, pig safe, horse, donkey and cow safe. She does not jump fences to leave the property she will jump them to go into different pastures. I'm okay with that. She listens. Does not have any food agression. Currently we have a bunch of baby goats. She hasn't spent that much time with the babies. Tonight I brought them into the house with Trixie. She cared for them as if they were her puppies. Don't let that worried look on her face fool you. We call that "the look". Her and all of her puppies have "that look". Its a trait. This is why I started this business to bring in dogs and rehabilitate them to be great all around Farm dogs or LGD'S. I have one of Trixie's puppies here and she has followed in her moms footsteps. At 6 months old Luna has become an amazing little LGD. I just wanted to share a positive success story. Happy Easter.

Meet "Dozer: or as I affectionately call him Mr. Flippidy Flop Do you know why Dozer is smiling today? I'm going to tell you. At the beginning of February I was contacted by Dozer's owner. Like all of us have dealt with at one time or another she was going through some major life changes. She wasn't working and didn't have a place of her own. She made arrangements to have Dozer live at a ranch. The cows were coming back for the spring and the rancher said Dozer's time there ...was up. She contacted me and asked if I would find him a home. I arranged for an amazing transportation company I work with (Animal Rescue Relay) to pick him up in Fresno. They said his owner was crying when she met them. She sent him with 4 huge bags of food. She checked in with me constantly. I told her I would keep him here and give her time to get her life in order. I would NOT place him for adoption. I could tell she LOVES her dog and was doing the best she could as hard as it was. Mid February she sent me a message: she got a job! Whoo hoo. End of February: she was looking for places to live that would accept a 100 pound dog. Beginning of March: she found a place but the owner wasn't too excited about having a dog his size. I offered to write a letter or do whatever I could do. She messaged me and said she had an idea. Later that afternoon she sent me a message. She offered him a $1,000.00 deposit. He agreed. So today after over a month Dozer's owner has put everything she has into making her life better for her and Dozer. She moved over 8 hours away and to a different state. The point of my story is there are options. Yes sometimes we have to move, life changes but dumping your pet because things get tough is not an excuse. I understand some people get a dog and don't have the ability to deal with their energy or issues. I wish more people educated themselves before getting a pet. It would save you and the pet the drama of rehoming it. I wish more people were like Dozer's owner. It would put people like me out of business and yes that would be a great thing. So to answer my question I asked at the beginning of this post. Answer: Dozer is happy because he is going home to his mama today.

Great Pyrenees Puppies READY NOW FOR THEIR NEW HOMES! Born 7/25/19 Mother and Father Onsite UTD on shots... 3 girls 1 Boy Location: Anderson, Ca 96007 I do not have custody of these dogs. I am posting this because I often get asked if I know of other dogs available for adoption. I am passing the info along to whomever may find it valuable. I have a female from a previous litter between the Mother and Father of these dogs and I can tell you she is one of the most mentally balanced dogs I have. She has the perfect blend of heart and is great at protecting. I believe it is based on how they raise these dogs and the quality of the mother and father. I cannot say enough good things about Stillwater Homestead-Kylo & Reys pups. If you are lucky enough to secure the last 4 dogs that are available. You will not regret your decision. Adaptable: a Great LGD should be. Alondra lived the first 2 years 8 months on a goat dairy farm. She had not been introduced to any other animal other than chickens. She has really bonded with this baby calf we have separated in the yard. Thanks to Alondra nothing will harm this calf tonight.
