Physicians are no longer allowed to use their medical training and experience to manage your care. It's the Insurance companies that ultimately drive the decisions about medications prescribed by your physician and are reaping the financial rewards at our expense as patients. Our healthcare system is a broken, there is not easy fix. As this article explains, the Insurance company bottom line is driving the decisions for our health and wellbeing. https://www.modernhealthcare.com//commentary-behind-scenes

Did you know that ALL medical bills are negotiable? A great deal of medical bills you receive are the result of a billing error. How do you know if a bill is legit and not a mistake made by someone in the billing department? I have helped family members and clients to challenge erroneous bills and most often I find that the provider did not have the correct/complete information. If it can't be resolved easily, I recommend you hire an Advocate that specializes in medical bi...lling. You can find a specialist at AdvoConnection.com Please SHARE this information with family and friends! #PERSONALSENIORADVOCATES #YOURFINANCIALHEALTH #PATIENTADVOCATES See more

You might not think you or your family member will ever end up in a nursing home. However, most often when an elderly person is hospitalized, they require a short term stay in a rehab facility. When you picture a rehab facility do you picture a physical therapy facility? Most of us do. What most people don't understand is that the "physician ordered rehab" is provided in a nursing home. This article addresses the poor state of nursing homes in CA. If you or a family me...mber are in need of a nursing home stay, have an Advocate help you find the best one covered by your insurance and provide facility oversight visits to ensure the safety and well-being during the stay. #PATIENTSAFETY #PATIENTADVOCACY #SAFESENIORSINFORMEDFAMILIES #PSADVOCATES https://khn.org//weak-oversight-blamed-for-poor-care-at-c/
