Our team was proud to lend a socially-distanced hand at Harrisburg YMCA Races Marathon this past weekend. Five of our physical therapists assessed injuries and volunteers provided water and cheered on the runners. Congrats to all who ran.

Not only do we help athletes and teams perform their best and recover from injuries, we also have the opportunity to educate them on body mechanics. Our team member Andy Prishack, P.T., ATL, ATC, recently presented on The Female Triade, a condition often observed in female athletes, to players and staff of the Metro United Girl’s Academy League Soccer Program. Although this year’s presentation was safely taught virtually, Andy had a blast educating the team!

Not only is October National Physical Therapy Month, it’s also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Throughout the month, our team members have shown their support and encouragement for all those affected by breast cancer through the #realmenwearpink campaign. Hosted by the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer participants fundraise and bring awareness to breast cancer by wearing pink. These fundraising efforts help support ground-breaking breast cancer research, early detection efforts and families and loved ones impacted by the disease. As you can see, our amazing team members have gone above and beyond for this great cause. We’re proud to be Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Thank you to all our team members, patients and community members who participated! #NPTM2020 #FeelGoodFriday #BreastCancerAwareness
