They also face tremendous challenges, with thousands of them still stranded onboard ships. This post from NAMMA is in important read. Many seafarers are being required to work past their terms due to travel restrictions of the COVID pandemic.

The International Maritime Center in the Port of Oakland remains temporarily closed due to the COVID 19 Pandemic and the current shelter in place health care orders for Alameda County and State of California.
