The San Diego Police Officers Association is saddened to announce the unexpected and untimely death of Fallen Officer David Sisto on February 2, 2021. Officer Sisto has served the communities of San Diego for over ten years on behalf of the San Diego Police Department (SDPD). While chasing a suspect on foot, Officer Jerry Hartless received a single gunshot wound to the head. He succumbed to his injury 22 days later. Thank you for keeping your community safe, Officer Hartless. End of Watch: January 31, 1988. #NLEOMF

Happy 245th birthday to the United States Navy! 13 October 1775 The Continental Congress authorized the first American Naval Force. This began the long and prestigious heritage of the United States Navy. Our Navy is currently the largest most powerful Navy in the world, with the highest combined Battle Fleet Tonnage. The SDPOA Board of Directors and Staff are proud of all of our Association’s Navy Shipmates, those currently serving, those who have served, and those who have retired!

It was our distinct honor to escort the remaining seven Marines and one Sailor from the 15th MEU today. They along with one other Marine died tragically during ...an AAV training mishap which took place on July 30, 2020.
