Removing barriers to access is in RPM’s DNA. We recognize there are academic and opportunity gaps for the working poor. We aim to create bridges of opportunity to individuals full of potential by advocating, educating and providing services to them. ... We began piloting a program in 2021, creating economic development opportunities for households who were struggling before the pandemic and / or found themselves unstably housed, unfed or unemployed. We wanted to share what Google is doing to create equity through Build for Everyone Apply by 05/16/2022. Note: If you have a 4yr (or more) college degree or are enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program you can not apply for this apprenticeship program.

What you water grows Gateway Garden 2021
2020 RPM Youth Innovator Awardee, Eli came up with an innovative way during COVID-19 to continue our flagship program A Bookshelf in Everyhome and his innovation this summer is no different. We are working together with a team to bring coding + cardio to students who have been deeply impacted by the digital divide in Silicon Valley and lack resources. More to follow. In between time, Eli talks about volunteering with Reach Potential Movement over the past 4+ years.... Volunteering at RPM appeals to me I learned that there are some people who are not as fortunate as me. Because they live so close to me, I feel like God has given me this perfect opportunity to help these people as much as I can. If someone asked me about RPM, I would tell them that RPM is a nonprofit that aims to help local low income families as much as possible. They are very caring people. Eli thank you for caring for your Community alongside RPM; together we are the change. One neighbor at a time, we can all make a difference!
Addressing housing insecurity out in the Community, Reach Potential Movement continues its 12 year legacy of meeting families right where they live, right where they need support and services. Preventing homelessness one family at a time in partnership with Sewa International USA and Cafecitos Group
Celebrating fathers and male role models this month A father is a blessing to his family. A leader, one who guides and directs in the way a child should go. Generous donors made it possible to honor and recognize over 100 unsheltered fathers and underserved men throughout Mountain View.... Staff and volunteers served a warm meal and set-up a free produce stand with farm fresh items. Gifted socks, razors and creams were distributed along with blessing bags provided by a local Girl Scout Troop with handwritten notes of encouragement, stay strong you are not alone, you’ve got this, no estás solo. Together, we are loving our neighbors one by one.
Poverty has increased exponentially for the Nation’s poor and support for families in need has skyrocketed. This article is SPOT ON with what we are seeing here in Silicon Valley. Undocumented women like Ms. Galán were hit particularly hard, a recent estimate by the Fiscal Policy Institute found. Many had low-wage jobs in the service sector. Some were suddenly obligated to stay home with children........ At Reach Potential Movement we help thousands of individuals like Ms. Galán keep food on their tables. 500+ families a week receive services from RPM. Neighbors helping neighbors, one household at a time. #poverty #loveyourneighbor
Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays are reserved for food for families where we caravan and pick-up food boxes, hot meals, produce bags and school lunches and head out in different directions to support 500+ households in need. This past Friday, 7 vehicles loaded up ~7,000 pounds of food and 100+ school meals and headed out into 7 different directions. #FarmerstoFamilies... #riveroflifefoundation See more

So fun passing out recorders today at Mariano Castro Elementary to the kinders from our friends at E-3 Philanthropy. Each recorder was artistically decorated by a youth for a youth and included a handwritten note. Thank you Milk Pail Market and donors for the bags of fresh produce donated last week. The bags were picked up at the Milk Pail Warehouse and distributed to families in need at Rengstorff Park (RV Community) and to families living in Apartments on California. The items were received and delivered within 30 minutes to grateful recipients.
The Gateway Center Garden, where Reach Potential Movement is housed, is blossoming
Our friends at The Milk Pail and their friends are so generous. We are grateful All donations will serve homeless and underserved families right here in the Community.
September is National Hispanic Heritage Month and today, we honor Sylvia Méndez, a Civil Rights Activist and Presidential Medal of Freedom Recipient. Sylvia is a role model of Reach Potential’s pillar; Academic Access to fight against Academic Insecurity. We believe *ALL* children have the right to a free, accesible, equal and quality education
A year ago we decided to pivot and expand our tent pegs. It is said, hindsight is 20/20. As we reflect, we recognize it was in preparation for what was to come during SIP and COVID-19. Outreach during COVID-19 has at times been exhausting, challenging, busy, rewarding and so much more. But always purposeful. ... How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!’ Isaiah 52:7
Dear Sunnyvale Families, Free meals for anyone 18 and younger, no questions asked.
Let’s give thanks to an essential worker and honor their dedication and sacrifice this Labor Day. As our Nation plans to take the day off in honor of Labor Day, essential workers are struggling to survive and haven’t been afforded the opportunity to take time off during the pandemic; we see you, we honor you and we thank you.
