Ramadan Mubarak to our faithful Muslim community. The San Diego Police Department wishes that may this year bring you peace, happiness and good health. #CommunityStrong #FirstDayOfRamadan
Ramadan is the ninth month in the Muslim lunar calendar. This year is from April 24th to May 23. It is Islam’s holy month. Muslims fast in Ramadan from dawn until dusk. It also includes abstaining from drinking, eating, and immoral acts. Due to COVID-19, most mosques are closed and the families are encouraged to break their fast at home and interact with others via social media. Locally, ICSD mosque offers livestream lectures and Khutba online plus other resources at http://www.icsd.org/. As Muslims ay: May Allah (god)bless you all during these times.
