My name is John-Aaron Bozanic. I am a Venturer in Crew 774 in Orange County Council, California. I am offering your Scouts a chance to gain service hours and ea...rn their Messenger of Peace award during these Covid-19 times with an approved national service project. I am currently working on my Summit and my Silver Hornaday Project. The goal of the project is to pick up 1,000,000 pieces of trash by the end of August. It was designed with the Covid-19 restrictions in mind, and can be done on a family, den, pack, patrol, troop, or community level as permitted in your region. I am looking for volunteers to help me reach my goal. To date we have picked up 279,738 pieces of trash, and I would like to thank everyone who has contributed. By participating in this project, Scouts and adult Scouters can earn the Messengers of Peace award. My project has been promoted on the BSA National Commissioner Facebook pages, and listed by BSA International as qualifying for this award. Scouting from home with JOTI-Special Edition3-5 April 2020!Part of Scouting’s great success over the past 113 years has been its enduring ability to adapt and respond to the changing needs of communities at every level. Young people in many countries today face challenges at home and in their local communities due to COVID-19. Their formal education, where they have access to it, has been severely impacted by the pandemic. According to UNESCO monitoring, as of today 85 cou...ntries have closed schools nationwide, impacting 776.7 million children and youth. At this challenging time, we, as a united Movement of 171 National Scout Organizations need to hold true to the Promise that binds us together and do our duty to help other people. At this extraordinary moment when many people are isolated, it is our firm belief that we should rise to the challenge and respond with an extraordinary global event that will unite Scouting at every level. Today we are excited to announce a special edition of Jamboree on the Internet (JOTI), the largest digital Scout event held annually!

We are raising money to get a new mainsail for the Boy Scout owned sailboat Astra. The boat is used by Sea Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venture Scouts and Cub Scouts. Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps. All donations will be used for the mainsail and rigging for Astra!!!!

Starting next year, the Boy Scouts of America membership fee will be $60 a year for all registered youth in Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing and Sea Scouts. The annual fee for adult members and youth in the Exploring program will be $36.
