This was such a special event, and we were so honored to be a part of it. (You don't get to hear us sing, but you get to learn a little bit more about yesterday's ceremony!)

This morning we performed at a naturalization ceremony in Balboa Park to welcome 50 new citizens from 50 different countries as US citizens. It was a privilege to be a part of such an important ceremony and to celebrate with our new citizens and their families!

Thank you, San Diego Loyal, for taking a stand in last week's and this week's incidents on the playing field. This is how change happens.

During the pandemic, it's important for us to do what we can to support other non-profits and the arts. We are proud sponsors of an upcoming event that does both! The George G. Glenner Alzheimer’s Family Centers’ upcoming event, Music & Healing: A Virtual Evening With Richard Danielpour, a special Zoom evening event with Grammy award-winning composer Richard Danielpour. Please consider attending this virtual event scheduled for THIS SATURDAY, October 3, 2020 at 5:30 PM via Zoom! To learn more about Richard and this event, please visit the link below! Thank you, in advance, and hope you can join us! https://glenner.org/richard-danielpour-zoom-event/

As of this afternoon, we're the #1 non-profit team raising funds for the annual AIDS Walk and Run! Please support the work of the San Diego LGBT Community Center by making a donation to our team! Our small group will be staging our own socially distanced walk on Saturday, September 26 in support of this important annual event. Each year joining together for the AIDS Walk & Run San Diego is a way to remember those we’ve lost to HIV/AIDS and to raise critically needed funds to education and support services for those impacted by HIV today. Please make a donation today and thank you!

It looks like our extended intermission is going to have to continue for a while yet: after careful consideration of all programming options, the SDGMC’s Board of Directors has made the weighty decision to postpone our annual holiday concert, Jingle, until December of 2021. While this means we won’t be together this holiday season, we are still planning to be a part of virtual celebrations and ceremonies this fall where you would normally expect to be, such as the virtual... opening ceremonies for this year’s AIDS Walk and Run 2020 on September 26, and the LGBT Veterans Wall of Honor Induction Ceremony later this autumn. We also hope to be out and about this holiday season with some virtual and small group caroling to help spread some holiday cheer in a year where we need it more than ever. Like so many performing arts and social justice organizations, we continue to focus on how to function effectively during this pandemic. We are #stillhere and we will let you know when we will be appearing in the future, either virtually or in small groups. Thank you for your support and we miss you all! See more

"We are celebrating this beautiful flag’s 21 year anniversary and are proud to have it flying over Hillcrest today, so our siblings can walk with their heads held high. And may this flag continue to serve as a beacon of hope to our community members in suffering and may we all continue to tirelessly fight against transphobia." - Naya Velazco, San Diego LGBT Community Center

May the dreams you dare to dream come true... Knowing that we would not be able to celebrate together this year, we wanted to share this special video with all of you. We wish you all a Happy Pride!
