Montezuma Valley road is open

Borrego Springs: Montezuma Valley Rd is closed between the 5mile marker and the 17 mile marker, due to an accident

Resurfacing Program began in earnest this month in the east county, and will continue over the next several months at various locations throughout the entire unincorporated county as we continue to advertise additional contracts. The work will include maintaining over 135 miles of roads with slurry seals to preserve and extend the life of the existing pavement, and new asphalt concrete where the road has deteriorated and can no longer be preserved. The program also includes r...ehabilitating more than 50 culverts, improving 66 pedestrian ramps, and adding 43 miles of bike lanes. The expanded program utilizes the County’s SB-1 funding to address DPW’s significant road resurfacing needs.
