We’re going to the playoffs!!!!!! Last Sunday was nothing short of magical. Our Buffalo Bills went into Pittsburgh, conquered the Steelers and took the playoff birth that is rightfully ours. It is such a weird feeling having two games left and having already clinched a playoff spot. The game was on National TV last Sunday, but that didn’t stop any of you from coming out and partying Sunday night at the PB Local. That was probably the best party Pacific Beach has hosted since ...they banned the ragers at Kate Sessions Park. For those of you still in town on Saturday, I expect everyone to be at PB Local. The Sabres game is at 10am, Bills game is at 1:30pm, get there early, get your seat and let’s have some fun. Saturday’s might be for the boys, but this week, Saturday is for the Bills. The Patriots are on the ropes, and the AFC East title is still up for grabs. We have been saying it for years, but Tom Brady and the New England dynasty might finally be over. Even if we don’t win the East, if we can go into Foxboro, beat Belicheat and at least make them play an extra playoff game, then we did our job and it will be known that the AFC East will go through Buffalo in 2020. Some say this game doesn’t matter since we already guaranteed a playoff spot, that’s bullshit, we need to win this game, we need to hit Brady, we need to come out victorious. I’m sick and tired of getting my ass kicked by the same team every year. Enough is enough and it’s time for a change, on Saturday we rise up and punch those chowderheads right in the mouth. Let’s Go!!!!!! Winners for the OB Christmas parade will be announced at The Holding Company (former Gallagher's), 5046 Newport Ave, San Diego, CA 92107, at 7pm this Friday, December 20th. There will be a $10 cover charge (which includes a drink) and will feature Martin and The Big Nativity Scene & Brown Party Liquor String Band. For those of you that can’t make it, they will be streaming it on their facebook page. I hope you can come out and support us if we win an award for our awesome Buffalo float. The Bills will be going for win #11 on Saturday, the last time the Bills won 11 games was also Thurman Thomas’ last year as a Buffalo Bill. Thurman Thomas, every step I take is footwork. To honor this Hall of Famer, we will be raffling off a signed jersey. Also, with Christmas next week, I know I haven’t done any shopping, I’ve been too busy thinking about Josh Allen. A severe loss to a team they should have beat, sad face, for those predicting Ws & Ls and playoff algorithms, that L was a bad one to take. This week the Bills look to get back on track as they travel to Miami for another opportunity to squish the fish. Hopefully, the warm South Florida sun will thaw our frozen offense, and they come out on fire. Fitzy’s got the undermanned Dolphins playing good ball, winning two in a row, and they are more than capable of ruining our Sunday.... Buffalo is ridiculously healthy going into this game, with no one on the injury report. The Bills must show that they are improving over the next few games and that Josh Allen has what it takes to take the next step in this league if our team on the field ever wants to be considered as elite as our fanbase. If watching this year’s team is bringing back flashbacks of 2008, 2011, and other years of great tragedy, you are not alone. While I am not a licensed counselor by any means, my buddy once told me that I had given excellent advice once, so I will provide you some advice in this message. You should not watch these games alone; a group setting will be the most beneficial and ideal way to experience the rollercoaster of emotions that is being a Buffalo Bills fan. I can’t think of a better group of Bills fans other than the ones you will find at the PB Local on Sunday, some might say it’s home of America’s Finest Bills Fans. A man that was known as a predominant fish squisher was Jim Kelly, and to honor that legend, we will be raffling one of his signed jerseys at the bar on Sunday. He is a winner, and you can be too if you buy the winning raffle ticket from Sita! The holidays are right around the corner, and shopping is lame; I am also not a professional personal shopper, but may I suggest a comfortable 2019 San Diego Bills Backers Club t-shirt, tank, or hat, perhaps a luxurious iron-on patch. All available for purchase on Sunday. BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!!! The Bills Float will be returning to the OB Christmas Parade on December 7th. Last year was our first year doing it, so look for significant improvements to our display in 2019. If you would like to ride on the float, please message me so I can make sure you get on. As I said, I made some mistakes last year, but I promise this year will be pretty badass, and I hope you can all witness our excellence and be proud of being a part of the most excellent fan club in the world. It was great seeing Pittsburgh lose on Thursday. BATTLE OF LAKE ERIE It’s been a long time since we have been able to enjoy a 6-2 record and control our own destiny after 8 games. Of course, the Bills are a work in progress, but they will face a massive test on Sunday when Buffalo faces their Rust Belt Brothers in the Cleveland Browns. Sure, the Browns are 2-6, but this is the ultimate talent vs. process game. Freddie Kitchens is a crap coach, and Sean McDermott must take advantage of the coaching mismatch, and end up vict...orious. Cleveland is a dangerous team that the Bills can not overlook if they want to clinch a playoff birth; the Browns smoked the Ravens who handily beat the Patriots last week and are more than capable of ruining our season. While Buffalo’s strength of victory is precisely equivalent to Austin Hedges batting average, this Bills team is learning how to win against bad teams and will keep grinding out wins until they reach their ultimate goal. Josh Allen and Baker Mayfield were both selected in the Top 10 of the 2018 NFL Draft, Mayfield being chosen first overall. While Baker might have had a better rookie year, he has completely fallen apart this year, leading the league in interceptions and looking like a Wet Bandit waiting for Kevin’s parents to leave town and rob their home. Josh Allen, on the other hand, is continuing to improve every week and doing what he has to do to beat bad teams. We should look for the Bills run defense to tighten up and turn Cleveland to Billieveland as we rack up another win against another bottom feeder on the road. While I have a lot of respect for the work ethic of a blue-collar town like Cleveland, but Ohio genuinely sucks. The Bills have already proved that they are the best team in New Jersey after beating the Jets and Giants, so this Sunday, they will have to prove they are also the best team in Ohio as they have already beaten all-defeated Cincinnati earlier in the season. What’s Cleveland even know for? I know Major League & Major League 2 are all-time great movies, but no notable food, LeBron left (again), and the Browns are a much sadder franchise than the Buffalo Bills, which is nearly impossible to achieve. These trends will continue on Sunday while you enjoy the exquisite regional cuisine of chicken wings, beef on weck & pizza logs at the PB Local, as you continue to not care about the NBA until the Finals and take pleasure in watching the Bills dominate the Browns on their way to 7-2.
