We, as the Vietnamese Student Association of SCU, stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter protests in Minneapolis, MN. We remember and fight for justice for the lives of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and all other victims of police brutality and white supremacy. George Floyd’s death was an act of blatant hatred and injustice. Acknowledging that anti-blackness has an unfortunate presence in the asian american community, we wish to do our part in confronting and dismantling these ideologies. As part of the multicultural center with a dedication to unity, we want to express our dedication to allyship and justice for black lives.
