Wine club members know our anniversary parties are rockin' at Scopo Divino. This year on July 20th we have even more to celebrate, we survived! We are inviting everyone to the celebration! Along with having two bands booked for the evening, Chef Matt is coming up with a great menu of food that may or may not include the Duck Sliders. Did you know that during the entire shelter in place, every Monday, Chef Matt delivered Jefferson Bergey and his fiancé, fresh-made Bergey Burgers to their home in Oakland? Every Monday! Chef drove across town to bring our friends some sense of normalcy, connection, and nourishment during a time when all of that was unknown. Fast forward to July 5th 2021- this past Monday, Bergey Burgers were enjoyed by Jefferson and his crew, in the restaurant! This is a milestone for all of... us and it feels amazing. We appreciate those of you who were able to attend Risqué Monday with Jefferson Bergey in person this week. Many guests remarked how times have changed as they carefully eased their way back inside for a super fun time reconnecting with friends. Risqué will be back at Scopo Divino on the first Mondays of each month. What food and wine pairs well with failed coup's you ask? Scopo Divino recommends "comfort food", like Housemade Meatballs, Mac n' Cheese (with Crawfish & Crab), a delicious cheeseburger (The Bergey Burger), and warm sweet dessert (Molten Chocolate Soufflé). This all travels well and is available for pick-up, or delivery if you just can't leave your house tonight, we understand. Recommended wine pairings include a good Cotes du Rhone (we have a few), or a big as hell Old Vine Zinfandel (let's get some high alcohol content going). Remember taking good care of yourself at times like this includes having a good meal. We'll hope to help out tonight as best we can.

When you have a lot of wine at home that is at it's must-drink-soon-before-it-dies date, you become more open to moving on from something quickly if you're not enjoying it. This '12 Syrah from Cline never really went anywhere. It started more fruity than I remembered then kind of lost it's vibrancy when it opened up. I like that winery mostly that it's on the way to my mom's and has some pretty inexpensive options including a Carignan I dig and a blend they call Cashmere that... is a crowd pleaser. But I guess maybe, don't bother laying them down, just drink em. Anyway, I dumped my glass and said screw it I'm opening another bottle. This '09 Barbera from Cooper is delicious, and opening up beautifully. I'm a huge fan of Sierra Nevada Barbera, if you haven't had the chance I recommend checking it out when you can. Cooper is not my favorite, but this is drinking well at the moment, and about to be paired with some duck leftovers. See more

The Bruschetta tonight is with Grilled TriTip Steak, Roasted Peppers, Green Goddess Aioli, and Shredded Manchego, and it is magnificent.

We are honored to have been voted Best Wine Bar in 2020 by the more than 7000 in the San Francisco Bay Area that cast ballots with 48Hills & the SF Bay Guardian. It's hard to believe but it really has been five years in a row that we've earned this award. In this incredibly challenging year it means even more to us that we not only have been able to survive, but that we continue to fulfil this dream to be the Best Wine Bar in San Francisco. Considering that half those that have this burger tell us it's "the best burger I've ever had", it seems fitting that the Bergey Burger get some recognition too.

Very exciting to have the bar back, we're quite pleased that our bar dividers are practically invisible. As with the tables, all patrons seated indoors must be screened before entering, wear a mask at all times they are not actively eating or drinking, and have a "bona-fide" meal, something we do very well here. Inside seating is done via reservation either over the phone or through Resy. We look forward to serving you, inside, once again.

It's Taco Tuesday! Featured Blackened Tilapia, Mango Pineapple Salsa, Chipotle Aoili, & Cotija Cheese. Also today we have Bruschetta, a fresh one to go with this hot weather: White Bean Hummus with Artichoke Tabouli with Feta and Heirloom Tomato.

People have been asking me what the effect of the smoke will be on the grapes and the wines coming from California. There is a lot of speculation, but this is a pretty interesting pivot.

We're throwing shade, no really, check it out! What a beautiful afternoon for oysters and vino.
