LA COUNTY PARKS IS HOSTING A VIRTUAL SPORTS DRILLS PROGRAM WITH THE LOS ANGELES CHARGERS Registration is now open to our first-ever Virtual Sports Drills Camp with the Los Angeles Chargers on December 8-10!... The LA County Parks 3-Day Virtual Football Drills Camp with the Los Angeles Chargers supports parents and students during the COVID-19 pandemic through an interactive experience from December 8-10. The program offers youth ages 4-18 and student-athletes with an interactive option to build their sports skills, form and meet their physical education credits. Due to COVID-19 restrictions and the Safer At Home Orders, LA County Parks had to temporarily close facility amenities, including sports fields. While the COVID-19 pandemic Safer at Home health order does not allow to meet in person, LA County Parks and the Los Angeles Chargers have teamed up to offer youth and student-athletes options for fitness through football and sports drills, and try something new while having fun during the holiday season. The virtual program begins on Tuesday, December 8, with pre-recorded videos by Los Angeles Chargers with football drills. Various sport options will also be available with volleyball demos, golf, and soccer drills via LA County Parks From Home Virtual Recreation Center. Participants are free to go at their own pace. The program concludes on Thursday, December 10, with a free interactive live-stream event with the Los Angeles Rams Chargers! Youth can attend remotely via video conference from any computer or mobile device. Students will be able to learn from the Los Angeles Chargers NFL players and coaches and LA County Parks recreation leaders on stretching, warm-up, football exercises, drills, develop their sports skills, and how to continue to train at home or at their local park. Positive and encouraging messages will also be part of the program. Youth between 4-18 years old may participate. All levels welcomed. Registration is free but required in order to participate in the live stream event. Free giveaway for participants that sign up (will be available while supplies last)! To sign up, you’ll create a free account on our online registration system. The process is simple, plus we have a tutorial available to assist you.
