Come work for a place where you can work your way to the top and you'll never want to leave! Job Description: Assists in executing large scale landscaping/hardscaping operations. Participates with other laborers in preparing and grading terrain, dig trenches and install drains.Installs small or large scale retaining walls using pre-cast retaining wall blocks, cinder blocks, or stone. Installs and/or builds ponds, fountains, arbors, fences or pergolas. Builds custom fire pits or fireplaces out of stone, cinder block, or pre-cast concrete materials. Installs artificial turf, decomposed granite, and other gravel substrates. Plants new plants and sod lawns. Installs landscape lighting and irrigation. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform VERY heavy physical work outdoors in all weather conditions and with exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, use varied hand and power tools, drive heavy construction equipment; lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 60 pounds and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment and/or assistance; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone and/or radio. Must work overtime as required. Minimum Requirements: Speak and read English Have a cell phone and know how to send a text message Pass a Drug Test, Background Exam, and Physical Exam Be Authorized to Work in the US Have 1 year work experience in the Construction Industry Have your own transportation to get to job sites through VTA and SB Counties Be safety minded Have basic knowledge of hand tools Be able to read a tape measure in feet and inches Be able to use a level to determine slope and plumb Be able to lift and load 60lb and use wheelbarrow Benefits: Medial/Dental/Vision available after 60 days employment. 401k and 10 paid holidays available after 1 year.
