Friends. Tonight we ask for your prayers and help collecting funds for end of life expenses for 4 month old, baby Zarriana Hope from El Cajon, Ca. After Sasha, a seasoned mom of three, noticed some unusual movements from her baby, she took her into her pediatrician several times to see what was wrong. Doctors did what they could but it wasn't much. When her baby had a seizure, things quickly progressed into a terminal cancer diagnosis. And today they have decided to put bab...y Zarriana on hospice care. Below (in comments) I have provided moms story, in her own words, and the link to her fundraiser. Tonight I dropped off comfort items and offered to serve in any way we can. Mom has specifically asked for help with meals, car payments, gas, and burial expenses. Sasha never expected that she would need life insurance for her baby. Then by the time she requested life insurance, her baby already had a terminal cancer diagnosis, and it was impossible to get coverage. Zarriana is survived by her Mother Sasha, Father Kelvon, and her 3 sisters. Scarlet had to get 2 teeth pulled today. Silly me I thought they would just pop-out. Nope. That would have been easy and she doesn't do easy. She had a very difficult procedure without sedation but pulled through like a champ. I got really confused because in the car she was asking me if she could take the jelly out. But it was just her lip all numbed up from the procedure. She said it felt like jelly. We are home now and she is enjoying her ice cream and resting. Kaiden lives with a pacemaker due to a condition called 'tetrology of fallot' which is a congenital heart condition involving four abnormalities occurring together, including a defective septum between the ventricles and narrowing of the pulmonary artery, and accompanied by cyano...sis (poor circulation.) Kaiden has to endure daily injections for growth issues and two weekly injections for immunoglobulin treatment, one in each leg. Kaiden was hospitalized back in June. We thought this was the perfect opportunity to spoil him with a welcome home gift to encourage him in his recovery and progress. Mom reported a huge boost in spirit after Kaiden got his gifting. Today we had a private invite event for families with children facing medical challenges. We invited 16 families to drive-through and pick-up much needed masks and superhero swag bags from our storage workshop. We made it fun by inviting Healing Little Heroes Foundation & Wonder Fam Cause Play to entertain families as they drive through. They were so generous to provide make AND entertainment at this event. Cali Kids Foundation showed up to provide some much needed he...lp and support and gave away some really cool school supply kits. Thanks Leila and Annie! So many thanks going out today. First I'd like to thank Secure Self Storage in Lakeside for allowing us to do this. They didn't have to but they did. Thank you to all of those who came out in costume and battled the awful heat and humidity to make those little kids (and big kids) smile, even if it was through a mask. It really made it worth it.
