Intro to Fashion offers students a foundation of knowledge about the fashion industry, history, fashion trends and future forecast. Students will be introduced to the use of fashion materials and tools, and will learn introductory job skills such as soft skills, writing and research.
Fashion design 3 students are working together on a group project. They are making a dress and a pair of pants. From the 1st pattern (Dotted paper) to the 2nd pattern (Oak Tag paper) to the sample muslin for the dress and pants. Last they will make the garments with the apparel fabric of their choice and complete their assignment with a presentation.
Today fashion design 1 students are learning Basic Hand Sew technique using a needle. There are 3 techniques the Running Stitch, the Back Stitch and the Blanket stitch.
Fashion Design 1 students are starting on their 1st pattern assignment. The dotted paper pattern will be use to design their garments. Once the student have design their garments. They will transfer that pattern to a finale pattern call the Oak Tag. Stay tune for the Oak Tag demo.
