Foods That Prevent or Even Relieve Gout Gout is a disease that is caused by uric acid build-up in the body. Uric acid is formed when the digestive system breaks... down purines in our food. A diet high in vitamin C and rich in materials that allow excess uric acid to be flushed out in the urine is what will prevent and relieve gout. Despite recent studies supposedly showing that vitamin C somehow no longer aids in the fight against gout, they neglect to add that their findings do in fact show vitamin C to be effective, simply not as effective as some of the new medicines they have developed to combat gout or in most cases only it's symptoms, unlike the natural alternatives. Vitamin C does in fact lower uric acid levels in the body as well as cleanse the blood and tissues of many if not most problem materials. However there are also other materials that play a part in relieving the body of gout or in preventing it. Here are some foods that prevent gout: Pineapple - contains an enzyme called bromelain that is an anti-inflammatory. Research has found that supplementing with bromelain or other anti-inflammatories may relieve the pain associated with gout. Ginger - is a powerful anti-inflammatory that has been found repeatedly in clinical studies to reduce chronic inflammation. One study in mice found that a compound in ginger may help to reduce the inflammation associated with uric acid buildup. Turmeric - has long been recognized as an anti-inflammatory by many cultures and has been proven in several studies. Some experts recommend a daily dose of turmeric to reduce the inflammation associated with gout. Cherry juice - has been used to alleviate gout symptoms for decades. Small studies in Italy and the United States have reported success with cherry juice as a gout treatment, though scientists are not certain what mechanism is active in producing this result. Cherry juice does not appear to lower uric acid levels but research suggests that its anti-inflammatory properties are what effectively combat gout. Hot peppers - are rich in vitamin C which has been shown to reduce uric acid levels. Watercress - contains moderate levels of vitamins and minerals and is reputed to be very beneficial to the kidneys. It may help to rid the body of excess uric acid. Lemons - studies have found that the higher a person's vitamin C intake, the lower the incidence of gout. Try adding lemon to your water every day to alleviate gout symptoms. A daily vitamin C supplement is highly recommended as vitamin C is one of the single most effective substances in removing uric acid levels from the blood and tissues. You can find a good high concentration supplement with rose-hips (aka "natural" vitamin C or "true" vitamin C) here: http://amzn.to/10TfpDB By taking in these anti-inflammatory foods and taking a good vitamin C supplement daily, one should be able to keep their gout under control, prevent it altogether and in many cases even reverse it's effects. http://homesteadingsurvival.myshopify.com/ http://homesteadingsurvival.com/

Simply put, Dit Da is the traditional Chinese art of healing injuries. Dit Da deals with both the prevention and treatment of many different types of internal and external injuries such as bruises, sprained and dislocated joints, broken bones, cuts etc. Dit Da Ke (Cantonese) or Tieh Ta Ke (Mandarin) is commonly translated into English as Fall and Hit medicine or Iron Hit Medicine. Dit Da has been an integral part of traditional gung fu for centuries. It has developed, flouri...shed and evolved over hundreds of years and passed down from master to disciple for generations as an integral part of gung fu training and tradition. Practice of Dit Da and gung fu training go hand in hand, they compliment and complete one and other. Past masters were always known for their dit da skills as well as their gung fu. They would often earn their living from treating patients and selling herbal medicine. Dit da skills and herbal formulas of a gung fu family were always highly guarded and kept very secret. Only the selected students, the successors of the gung fu family who proved their loyalty and dedication through many years of training would receive the direct and complete transmission of dit da skills along with their gung fu training. This tradition is still carried on today. Although may be not as secretive as in the past, many good masters still preserve and carry on this tradition and carefully select their students. However, sadly most of the modern day gung fu practitioners and masters do not posses any dit da knowledge or skill. See more
