5th Annual Santa Teresa Church Golf Tournament. On a beautiful sunny and a little windy day, we celebrated our fun and traditional annual golf tournament. We want to express our gratitude to all the participants and volunteers that help make this a great fundraising event! Special thanks to Dave and Anne Peterson for hosting the wonderful dinner after the tournament! Congratulations to the winning team Peter Boggini, Bob Leininger, Paul Boggini and Jake Mendes! Congratulations also to Father GEORGE for his defense of the title as the best Parish foursome in all of the San José Diocese for the 5th year in a row!

Mental Health Awareness Month was during the month of May - however the problem of mental health remains - those in need of encouragement and consolation or seeking relief from emotional and mental disturbances still require assistance. You can help! 1) Pray for all persons who themselves or within their families live with mental and emotional crises, that the joy and love of Jesus may bring them comfort 2) Take the pledge to be Stigma Free https://nami.org/Get-Involved/Pledge-to-Be-StigmaFree

As we approach Election Day, Bishop CantĂș encourages us to be mindful of the values we are called to follow as Catholics. Let us take the time and educate ourselves, enter into civil discourse, and vote justly! Read Bishop's Message at dsj.org/bishop-cantus-message-on-elections/

PLEASE SHARE THIS ON YOUR FACEBOOK PAGE TO SPREAD THE NEWS! Communities across the country count on the American Red Cross for help every day and supporting those communities is at the heart of what we do. We are pleased to share that as of June 15, all blood, platelet, and plasma donations will be tested for COVID-19 antibodies. As an organization dedicated to helping others, we are fortunate to be able to step up to help during this pandemic by offering this service at your upcoming blood drives. A note From Father George about indoor worship: My dear Parish Family, I hope you and your loved ones continue to remain safe and healthy. This e-bulletin and everything else we do at Santa Teresa during the Corona Virus Pandemic is to help our parishioners move from isolation to community. Community is our lifeblood whether we express it in Sunday worship and the sacraments or volunteerism and parish life in general. As an example, we did not miss the opportunity last Sund...ay to bless animals on the feast of St Francis of Assisi, a celebration well received by both children and adults alike. Changes may be coming very soon to indoor worship and gatherings. The County of Santa Clara first moved from the Purple Tier (the worst situation) to the current Red Tier. Everything, including the rate of infections, hospitalizations, etc. are fortunately trending downwards for now. If this positive downward trend continues next week, we will find ourselves in the Orange Tier. This new level which might come as soon as October 14th will allow our parishes to have indoor worship at 25% of capacity or 100 people, whichever is the lowest. Outdoor gatherings will be increased from 60 to 200 people. Each parish can decide when they are ready to make changes if guidelines and restrictions from the County are followed. Some parishioners might still not be ready to worship indoors so it is recommended that we still have a Sunday Mass outdoors. I will be having a zoom meeting tomorrow (Friday) with our pastoral staff to decide on the right course of action. We will continue to live stream the Mass because the Pandemic has not disappeared, and many are homebound for reasons of health and uncertainty about Covid. Please stay tuned for the changes that will take place in the next few days. And please remember that the dispensation from attending Mass on Sundays and Holy Days is still applicable in the Bishop's instructions for the Pandemic. If you are sick or have symptoms or have immune challenges, please refrain from parish gatherings. At the live stream Mass, I will continue to say the prayer of Spiritual Communion, on your behalf, so you always feel connected
