Hello Everyone! Welcome to this week’s 2nd look. Those of you who joined us this week, may remember that Wayne opened our service reading you a scripture that talks about our election in Christ. I’ve asked Wayne to once a month direct us to prayer reflecting on a different aspect of our salvation in Christ. This week he led us to pray on our election. What is election? This is the wonderful truth that God chose you to be His! You don’t have salvation because you have d...one something good, or because you are part of the church; you are saved because God chose you since the beginning of time. You are elected to be His! Every week this month, I will give you a Bible passage to read that will talk to you about your election, and then next month we will look at a different aspect of your salvation. This week, I’d like to invite you to consider Ephesians 1:3-8. And now; The Foundation Of Mission Here are the main points from the sermon: The foundation of ministry is Prayer Prayer that is alert (watchful); and thankful. Prayer that isnt just for you, but for your neighbors and your fellow church members. Who are three people you can pray for, who are your neighbors? Who is someone in our church whose mission you can pray for? Have a great week everyone, And may God’s peace be with you Pastor Ryan Low See more

Hello everyone! without going into too many details, we are going to have to show our outdoor worship service here on a facebook watch party THIS SUNDAY rather than on youtube. After we show it here, we will try to upload it there the next day. So if you go on youtube on Sunday morning, the service will not be there! We will be attempting to host a watch party of the service on facebook, IN ITS ENTIRETY- with worship music! The service will begin at 1030. Amber Trimbl...e will be hosting the watch party- on our group page, or on her facebook page. if you are on facebook. Alyssa Low will also be hosting it on her page. We're going to have 2 phones running. the sound wont be all that great, but it should work. We will be emailing out song lyrics as usual. Let us know if you have questions. If you do not have facebook, please note that the service will still be in our parking lot, you can join us and be as socially distanced as you would like- there's plenty of room- also we will try to upload the service to youtube asap. Sorry for the confusion but as our conditions shift, we need to flex with them. Have a great day everyone! Pastor Ryan See more

To my SNC friends and Family, Tomorrow morning is forecasted to be 49 degrees and windy. At this point, that is simply too cold for us to meet outside. We are Southern Californians after all!!! :) We will be back online: Youtube at 1030 am. ... Please join us for our entire worship service online and we will resume out outdoor services next Sunday. I'm sorry for the late notice on this and we strongly considered having everyone bundle up, but I have just felt a sense of unease growing all day with this. Thank you everyone and please forward this message on to our other brothers and sisters. We look forward to worshipping with you all- online; tomorrow! Pastor Ryan See more

Hello SNC Friends and Family! Today is Election Day. Although many of us understand it may take a while for us to really have a definitive answer on who won. Before we have that answer I am taking a moment to send you an impassioned plea. The reality is that there are folks in our church who are voting on different sides, and once the results are in, some are going to be happy and some are going to be sad. ... We truly need to consider how we are going to forge the way forward, together, even though we don't all agree, and this means we need to determine to be loving. I ask you to consider, before you post on facebook, before you send a text, before you think of saying something to someone, please once again consider what the Bible tells us it means to actually love someone else. We need to choose to be loving. Let us all be in prayer for our country in the days ahead. These are very difficult times. As the church we have an opportunity to model for the world around us what it means to be a people who are truly set apart, and different, unified, and living with a peace in troubled times that doesn't make sense. God has called us to be holy as He is holy. To be different, set apart. Oh Lord, let us live with your peace! Let us love each other even though we may not agree. Thank you, everyone, Pastor Ryan

Lifekeys #4- Serving in Style! Hello everyone and welcome to this week’s 2nd look/discussion guide. Let’s begin with reading 1 Corinthians 12:14-21- What do you notice from your reading of this passage? What does this passage teach us about how God has designed the church?... Have you ever explored how God has wired your personality? Here’s an online test you can take: https://www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test Was it easy or hard for you to identify your personality preferences? why do you think that was? How does the way your life is currently set-up support/ not support the personality preferences God gave you? (if you’ve read the book) Re-read the suggested areas for growth on your personality type page. Which might you work on right now? What might you do to get started? Think about the style of leadership people in your type offer. In what settings might it be most effective? are there settings where it is hard for you to take a leadership role? Why? What about the Servant Style of your personality type? What contributions do you make? What areas of growth might make you more effective? What has God been teaching or showing you lately; and how might you respond to Him?

Hey everyone! If you are following along with the book you may notice chapter 3 of the book is not about our story but about spiritual gifts. The reason for this discrepancy is an intentional choice on my part. As I read the book and looked at the series, I began to feel the topic of the importance of our story was something that needed to be emphasized more. So I squished Spiritual and Life gifts into one sermon and then added this one. (Please Note- for those of you wo...Continue reading

LIFEKEYS #2: Baby You're a Firework Welcome to the 2nd Look and Discussion Guide for sermon 2 of "LIFEKEYS"! 1. Read 1 Corinthians 12:12-31. What does this passage teach us about how God has wired us for ministry?... 2. When you consider the truth that God has given you life skills and spiritual gifts to serve Him and build His kingdom, what thoughts and feelings do you have? 3. "For many of us, it is rather obvious that everyone is differently skilled by God and yet deep down in many Christians they either do not believe they are skilled and gifted, or they believe their gifts and skills aren't that important or useful. This leads them to not really explore who God has made them to be, or to create a separation in their life between what they do well, and then what they do with God. Many Christians think: 'Well, I use what I do well for my job, but my skills aren't applicable to the church or to the kingdom of God'. This is not true, and it keeps us from serving God out of the strength of who God has made us to be." What do you think about this point? 4. Reflect on your childhood dreams and interests. Is there anything you would like to recapture? 5. Consider the role you might play in the following scenario: The church's 70th anniversary is coming up and a huge celebration is planned. With which part of the celebration would you like to be involved? (decorations, program planning, refreshments, publicity, finances, childcare, entertainment, set up) Which life gifts would you be using? 6. Which is your favorite life gift? When did you first become aware that this was one of your life gifts? How have you developed it? How are you currently using it? 7. Closing prayer: Dear God, it is beyond our understanding that because of Your love for each one of us, You took the effort to gift us individually with our own natural bent, life gifts, the way we should go. Help us enjoy the process of finding our life gifts. Guard us from comparing ours to those of others. Reassure us that You have made us this way for Your purposes. In that confidence we can rejoice. Amen. Pastor Ryan Low Here is Sunday's Sermon for you to listen to or watch.

I know I referred to spiritual gifts in the sermon and I will have you work on that material next week. For now focus on life gifts. ... This weekend I will preach a sermon on the importance of our story in finding God's calling for us, which isnt a chapter in the book, so you will have time to spread out the chapters over the next 2 weeks.
