*Vegetation Fire - Round Barn Blvd* Santa Rosa Firefighters are enroute to a vegetation fire on Round Barn Blvd at Fountaingrove Parkway. Avoid the area. Update #1 6:52PM: Firefighters are at scene of a with 1/2 acre of vegetation. No structures threatened. Update #2 6:56PM: The fire is under control. Firefighters will remain at scene to fully extinguish all hot spots. There were no structures threatened and the fire was contained to the property of origin. 3 Engines, 1 Wild...land Engine, 1 Water Tender, 1 Fire Investigator and 1 Battalion Chief assigned. Update #3 7:45PM: The fire size was updated to under 1/4 acre and it is fully contained. Investigation still underway. See more

*Vegetation Fires Mutual Aid Orange County* The Santa Rosa Fire Department is supporting the efforts in Southern California to battle the wind driven fires currently burning in Orange County. The Silverado Fire and Blue Ridge Fire are both threatening communities and have prompted large scale evacuations. Cal OES Engine 363 from Station 4 on Yulupa Avenue will be assigned to the #SilveradoFire and one of our Fire Captains will serve as a Strike Team Leader for Engine 363...’s assignment. Engine 2 from Station 2 on Stony Point Road is assigned to the #BlueRidgeFire. In total, nine Santa Rosa firefighters will work down south and all of our stations will be backfilled and remain fully staffed. *Structure Fire - Meda Avenue* Santa Rosa Firefighters are at scene of a structure fire in the 1800 block of Meda Avenue. 3 Engines, 1 Ladder Truck, 1 Fire Investigator and 1 Battalion Chief assigned. The fire was dispatched at 4:22PM. The fire is contained to the structure. Update: 4:54 PM - The fire is under control and firefighters will remain at scene for an hour mopping up hot spots. The fire involved a triplex and one kitten was rescued.

Update - 2:03 a.m. The fire is contained and there are no threats to structures. The fire was caused by an unauthorized fire in Howarth Park. SRFD and SRPD are investigating.

*Special Staffing - Red Flag Warning/Wind Event and Potential Public Safety Power Shutoffs* The Santa Rosa Fire Department will staff three additional apparatus (pictured) and an additional battalion chief starting Sunday (10/25). Engine 25 will be assigned to a strike team that consists of five wildland engines and a water tender. There were be two additional task forces with a total of 13 engines formed up as well. The engines for the task forces and strike team are being provided by fire departments from all across Sonoma County. The City of Santa Rosa plans to activate its Emergency Operations Center in advance of the potential PSPS and to support any operational needs locally during the Red Flag Warning.

The cameras we monitor wildfires on are controlled by public safety officials but accessible to the public.
