June 2021 Initiation at Santa Monica Elks Lodge 906. The Lodge welcomed three new members Keith Gain, Ash Danielle, and Frank Lusher. We were very fortunate to ...have with us several members that joined during the pandemic to witness and be a part of the ceremony too. Those "newish" members were Angela Martinez Juranek, Mali Teisan, Kathy Vigil, Gloria Halfacre, Joel Tureaud, Philip Logsdon, and Nancy Goodman-Iland. Before the meeting started Elise Knebel, 2021 ENF Legacy Scholarship recipient gave a heartwarming thank you to the Lodge. DDGER R.A. Pickett last official duty was to give South Central Coast District ENF Chairman Margy Pickett, PER her Leadership pin and Legacy Pin from National Foundation. Six members were presented their Millennium Club pin and Certificate from the California Hawaii Elks Major Project. See more

At the June PER meeting of the Santa Monica Santa Monica Elks 906, PER President Margy Pickett presented Jaynee Roszhart with a past Exalted Ruler’s medallion as a thank you for her second year of service.

Santa Monica Elks 906 Exalted Ruler Jaynee Roszhart and First Gentleman Tom Roszhart were celebrated at the ER Send-Off to Grand Lodge. Jaynee was given several gifts, a card from the members and a new jersey from her favorite baseball team autographed by all of her officers!

Grace Roebuck, 2016 Elks National Foundation MVS Scholar, scouting out locations for the upcoming ENF Scholarship Service Trip to Santa Monica Elks 906 in Augus...t 2021. We hope you enjoyed your day today as we showed you some of the sights in our little seaside town. Hope you enjoyed the See’s Candy, lunch at Earth, Wind and Flour, a trip to the West LA VA (Golf course, Bldge 209 and the chapel), Abbot-Kinney, Safe Place for Youth, Venice Boardwalk and the Santa Monica Pier to name a few. Escorting Grace today were CHEA South Central Coast District # 1080 Leader Donald Checchi, District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler R.A. Pickett and PER Frank H. Frazier.

Dana Camarillo was presented a Lifetime Achievement Presidential Volunteer Service Award. The Lifetime Achievement Award of the President's Volunteer Service Aw...ard was for her service to the Girl Scouts, Los Angeles Sheriffs Department, the Santa Monica Elks and the veterans of our country. Dana Camarillo was given a letter a commendation signed by President Biden, distinctive challenge coin and a pin to wear on her lodge uniform. See more

Santa Monica Elks celebrated Father's Day and Flag Day tonight. Tom Roszhart was named as the 2021-2022 Santa Monica Elks Father of the Year. Dana Camarillo was presented a Lifetime Achievement Presidential Volunteer Service Award.

Santa Monica Elks used part of their Focus Grant to purchase and deliver 54 indoor heat lamps for the veterans housed at the WLA VA.
