While showing a lovely couple around tonight, we were treated to this sunset peeking through the barn doors. Imagine this backdrop to the toasts on your wedding day....

Asistencia (Barn) The beautiful Asistencia building is regarded as the first stone-and-mortar structure built in California. The Asistencia served as a farmhouse, granary, chapel and lodging quarters during the Mission Period. Today, the original building is covered by a protective barn, but the impressive stone walls still stand. Original El Camino Real California’s original El Camino Real, the 600-mile Mission Trail connecting the state’s 21 missions, ran right through Sa...nta Margarita Ranch. Remnants of El Camino Real are still visible today on the ranch. Wells Fargo Building, (Bridal cottage) The charming Wells Fargo building dates back to the days when the ranch was an official stagecoach stop for Wells Fargo and other stage lines. Ranch House The original ranch house still stands today, although its adobe walls are now covered and protected by wood siding. For generations, this house has served as a hub for festivity and hospitality on Santa Margarita Ranch.

This Sunday at the ranch!
The Pacific Coast Railroad honors the historic role of the railroad industry in the development of Santa Margarita and the Central Coast. It is available for charter at weddings and special events, and also operates for occasional public events throughout the year. The railroad includes three engines, as well as four 5/8 scale passenger coaches from the Santa Fe & Disneyland Railroad dating back to the 1950s. Yes, it’s truethe charming passenger coaches of the Pacific Coast Railroad once graced the legendary Disneyland theme park in Anaheim! These coaches have since been lovingly restored, much to the delight of children and adults alike.
