Raise your hand if you love the Geology Gents! Okay, so we've got some good news and some bad news for you... Bad news is that there is no Rockin' Pop-Up ...live on Facebook today. Good news is that we're hosting this month's Rockin' Pop-Up in-person at the Museum! Join us on Saturday, July 10, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a free Rockin' Pop-Up in the Park with Gavin and Graham, the Geology Gents. Bring in a few rocks to be identified and explore the Museum's geology collections while getting some face-time with Gavin and Graham. We'll return to virtual Rockin' Pop-Ups on the first Wednesday of the month in August.

Flower power is in full effect with these campers! We've made it to week three of summer camp season at the Museum and campers have pollinated flowers, built... volcanoes, visited local parks and beaches, and oh-so-much-more so far. We still have several weeks of camp left to go and there's room for kiddos entering grades 5 and 6 in our Budding Naturalists camp August 2-6. Introducing Clara, our gem of a summer intern Clara will be working with our geology collection to inventory specimens and create educational content. Her fav...orite mineral in our collection so far is wavellite because of its interesting radial symmetry and awesome green color.
