Finally the bigger salmon have made their way into the Monterey Bay! Salmon season runs through August 27th then closed until next April.

Did a MEAT RUN today and what a day it was! Our best trip EVER on the MEGA-BITE. Caught our bait, then caught our limits of lingcod (to 16 pounds), then caught our rockfish then caught our six salmon (to 17.5 pounds). Great group and a whole lot of fun and 250 pounds of fish came home. Perfect day.

Hooked 14 salmon and brought home 11 and sealions took home three. Great day today with flat calm water until about noon then we decided to head back in. These are much bigger than the schoolie fish we had for the previous four weeks. High quality and fat fish. When the weather settles down we'll be back out there nailing salmon and dodging sealions.
