Lucy Hobbs Taylor, DDS. 1833-1910 Lucy was the FIRST woman to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in the United States! Lucy was a Teacher in Brooklyn, who initially attempted medical school prior to her historic career in dentistry!
