Community Advisory: If you smell or see smoke near Camp Parks in Dublin June 7 to 18, Monday through Friday, please do not be alarmed. The Alameda County Fire D...epartment (ACFD) and Camp Parks Fire Department will be conducting a controlled training burn between 9:00AM and 3:30PM. Each area will be burned in small, low fire-intensity sections. Training burns are carefully planned, monitored, and must meet strict criteria of fuel conditions, weather parameters, smoke management, and fire safety guidelines. When all conditions (prescriptions) are met, firefighters burn while monitoring the set criteria, fire behavior and designated fire control lines. This low intensity fire in the natural environment provides safe vegetation fire training. ACFD will be monitoring the burn and will be on high alert to mitigate any possible risks to the residents of Dublin and San Ramon. #ALCOFIRE Parks Reserve Forces Training Area Camp Parks Firefighters San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District City of Dublin, CA - Government City of San Ramon News and Information Alcofirefighters

At the onset of a traffic stop at just before 8 am this morning, one of our officer's vehicles was struck by a suspect's vehicle, who then immediately fled. Our officer suffered minor injuries but pursued the suspect on Crow Canyon Road. The pursuit continued from Crow Canyon Road near Shoreline Drive toward I-680. The pursuit entered the freeway, where the suspect's vehicle began having engine issues. The suspect exited the freeway at Sycamore Valley Road and then fled on fo...ot. He jumped the Sycamore Valley Road overcrossing fence and began running on the outside of the fence above the freeway. For his safety, the freeway was temporarily shut down in both directions. After a taser deployment, he was later apprehended on the west side of the freeway underneath the overpass. The vehicle being driven by the suspect had false license plates but was reported stolen out of San Francisco. The suspect, whose identity we are still attempting to confirm, is also suspected of being involved in a recent local burglary. He was arrested for assault against a peace officer, felony evading, an outstanding warrant out of San Joaquin County, and a violation of probation. Fortunately, our officer suffered only minor injuries. He is being treated at a local hospital and should be released shortly.

San Ramon PD Officers and Detectives have been busy the last few weeks. Car stops, alert citizens, and good ol’ fashioned Police intuition have lead to arrests and the discovery of drugs, stolen property/cars and identity theft paraphernalia. We are thankful to have citizens who look out for one another and love this community just as much as we do! #SanRamonPD #SRPDDetectives #SRPDK9unit #CommunityPolicing
