Just got off a zoom call with my therapist which has been helping me a lot. There is a lot of stuff going on right now ... yesterday it was pitch black outside all day and it was really frightening and then the other thing is that I'm not taking any skin care clients. I want everyone safe from the Corona virus. Being a facialist, I'm so close to your beautiful faces! My brother and I are hanging in there and it's just a really frightening time for everyone cause they're so ...many changes in the world. The numbers keep increasing so this is a safety decision and that's really hard... to lose part of that our relating and seeing each other every month for so many years. Being an active Esthetician for over 25 years! I miss and love you all. I'm not closing permanently.. just temporary to keep everyone safe. Probably be closed till end of the year. According to this article posted today July 16, 2020, San Mateo county appears to be headed for the state watch list. Many counties around us have closed businesses that were granted to open. Selenia's Skin Boutique will be opening on July 20th..hopefully. The numbers are climbing higher every day. They may shelter in place again.

Hello Beautiful Beings, Hope you have stayed safe and are well. Selenia's Skin Boutique has been boarded up for a couple of days due to the protest that took place two days ago. All went peaceful, but many businesses are keeping boards up this weekend and beyond. There's talk on 25 th about a potential threat this weekend. We also had two hired guards in front and two guards in back. These security people were hired by the pharmacy to ensure property safety during the protest.... My brother Elvin, myself and our 2 dogs are just fine. I have received gloves and face shields to wear when we open. I have hand sanitizer. -Each one of you will be required to wear a mask upon entering the boutique. - I am still waiting for notification if I will need to take your temperature at the door. The memorial day weekend festivities, along with the protest where there has been zero social distancing have caused Covid19 positive results to go up in San Mateo. Until the numbers go down, many businesses will still be on lockdown. I will be calling to say hello, touch base and r/s your appointments. We are going through an intense time and many have anxiety and other issues. Who can blame them? We can make a difference by taking care of ourselves first. -Wash your hands for 20 seconds. -Wear your mask outdoors. -Wear gloves when shopping or doing errands around town.
