Very sad news and a great loss to the African Violet World.

Sad to hear of the passing of Barbara Elkin yesterday. She was a wonderful lady and African violet friend. Barbara hybridized some beautiful hybrids and was always eager to answer questions when asked for advice. She judged many of our shows and headed a column in the AVSA magazine for many years. All of her accolades escapes me at the moment as I am at a loss for words at hearing the news, but I feel lucky to have known her. She will be missed.
