We used her fat to fill in the areas below the bags so she would have a smooth transition from the eyelids to the cheek. This was done through a scarless approach on the inside of the eyelid. There are about 600 ASOPRS-trained oculoplastic surgeons in the . Ghana has a population of 31 million. My two friends represent 50% of the oculoplastic surgeons in the Ghana. In times like this, non-profit organizations struggle to maintain their donations and to find qualified and interested volunteers. In 1952, when Dwight D. Eisenhower had been elected #potus, two brothers (ages 9, 7) were playing with BB guns and one accidentally ended up with a BB in his eye socket. The brothers made a pact to not tell their parents since they wouldn’t understand and likely would lose their BB guns. In 2020, that same boy, now 77 y.o. had the BB removed as he was having an MRI. He wanted me to give him the BB so he could mail it back to his brother....since he didn’t know when he would be able to directly hand it back to him (due to the pandemic). #brotherlylove
