I'm sure most of you have noticed we are booking appointments out further than we used to! Well, there have been a lot of changes since the pandemic-not only in the hospital, but in your homes too. As the pandemic comes to an end we are still dealing with a good majority of these changes. We appreciate those of you who have been patient with us. : ) And those of you who haven't been as patient, we really understand your frustration, we are frustrated too! The last thing we want to do is turn your pet away, especially if they are sick and not feeling well. At the end of the day we are a practice run by humans- and that's just it- we are only human. Please remember to be kind and considerate to our employees!
As we near the end of Animal Rights Awareness Week, we recommend spaying or neutering your pet. There are health and behavioral benefits to this procedure and can help reduce the number of unwanted litters.
During your pet’s next visit, be sure to ask your veterinarian about your pet’s vaccination records. Regular vaccinations can help keep your pet healthy and protected from a number of diseases! This is especially important if your pet spends time outdoors.
Happy Holidays! Warmest thoughts and best wishes to you and your loved ones!
We still have holiday spirit at the hospital, even if you aren’t inside to see it! Hope you enjoy some of the great photos we have gotten this holiday season! Stay safe and have happy holidays! #holidayspirit #happyholidays #staysafe

Tip of the day: Before you set out on a big hike, rule out any health or joint problems. Age, size, breed, and other things can limit your dog’s agility!
The first thing to note in a sick pet is their energy level. If you notice unusual behavior and a decreased energy level in your fur baby, it may be best to schedule an appointment with us so that we can ensure that your pet is comfortable and happy!
Do you ever wonder why dogs love sticking their head out of the car window? A dog's head is packed with sensors and they stick their head out for great pressures of air creating a sensory overload!
We can recommend a wellness program based on your pet's breed (some breeds are predisposed to certain health problems), age, lifestyle and overall health. We're here for you!
We hope that you had a great Thanksgiving! What was your favorite dish?
We recommend regular wellness exams for the same reason your physician and dentist recommend them if you can detect a problem in its early stages, it's more likely to be treated and resolved with less expense, less difficulty and better success!

Most pets are creatures of habit and cats especially tend to enjoy predictability. Feeding your cat at the same time each day is one of the easiest ways to establish a routine.
Certain breeds will be affected more than others by even the slightest weight gain, so it’s important to maintain your dog’s fitness throughout their entire life.
We know the holidays are a little different this year, but as we have already seen celebrations are still occurring! Pheromone products such as Feliway are often used at home and in animal shelters and boarding facilities to calm cats. Although not effective for all cats, pheromone sprays and diffusers may help you create a more calming environment.

Cats with rabies are very irritable and will reject any type of affection. This is typical to the stage two of rabies: the furious stage. Cats having rabies are vicious and will bite and scratch more than usual. If this sounds familiar, please contact us!
