Sista’s Making A Difference Just Plant It Organization The Garcia Center for the Arts made it happen today at the vision board event, "Goal Get It!" Super inspirational and productive
We have a lot of amazing filmmakers in our area. If you have an idea for a film or documentary, pursue it. It's time for San Bernardino to tell its own stories. https://calhum.org/funding-/california-documentary-project/
Executive Director, Jorge Oswald Heredia, would like to say thank you to Regina and Edgar Beltran of Superabilitee, Inc., who donated and planted succulents around the patio fountain.
A few Garcia Center Board members took a tour with founder Maria Alonso of Huerta del Valle Ontario Community Garden. We were asking questions and collecting more ideas of what we can do for our own potential community garden.

Starting September 1st, we will be having an artist in residence at The Garcia Center for the Arts, Erokthelion. Erok is a multi-talented artist from San Bernardino, who has created many murals in a number of cities throughout California. Erok’s paintings focus on the abstract and figurative, with elements of bright colors, pop art and graffiti all in one. Erok uses an assortment of materials and media: acrylic, oil, pastels, spray paint, magazines. We are excited to be able... to provide a studio space for Erok to continue his work. We are looking forward to experiencing the art that is produced here at the Garcia Center. Links to Work: https://erokthelion.bigcartel.com/ https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/erok-thelion
Ceramics Classes in September We will be continuing the ceramics classes that were abruptly cancelled in March. If you were participating in our ceramics classes with instructor Lucy Sunga, expect to receive an email or call soon, if you haven’t already. You will receive details of how and when you will be able to complete the work you started. We will be making sure to take safety precautions as we deal with the Covid 19 pandemic. Stay tuned.
