Governor Newsom announced the creation of a $500 million COVID Relief Grant, administered by the California Office of the Small Business Advocate (CalOSBA) at the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development, for small businesses that have been impacted by COVID and the health and safety restrictions. Grants of up to $25,000 will be made available to underserved micro and small businesses, nonprofits, and cultural institutions throughout the state. We are deeply saddened by the passing of local music icon, Joseph Ostenson or "Mr. O." We had the pleasure of working with Mr. O and his wife Francie on several programs, including our After School Mariachi Program and Music in the Park. Mr. O was an inspiration to countless students and musicians at Rancho San Justo Middle School, Mr. O's Community Jazz Band and Mr. O's Academy of the Arts. We send our love to his family and to our local music community.
