Our food pantry & clothes closet are now OPEN Tuesdays & Thursdays 10 am - 2 pm (with the exception of the second Tuesday of each month due to Food Bank distribution taking place 10 am - noon). We also set up a space to allow public access to a laptop for one high school student or adult at a time on Wednesdays by appointment. Parents with children are welcome to use the tech area - there is a small playspace set up for their use. Covid protocols in place. Please call 292.3174 for more information about any of our services or to reserve a time to use the laptop.

AUGUST FOOD DISTRIBUTION at OAK TREE SCHOOL The Food Bank of Nevada County, the County of Nevada, Twin Ridges Elementary School District, and the San Juan Ridge Family Resource Center are working together to provide food to the San Juan Ridge Community. On Tuesday, August 11, from 10am to noon, there will be a drive-thru food distribution on the Oak Tree Campus. Although the FRC’s food pantry has been feeding the community for years, this drive-thru distribution will make it possible for people to access far larger amounts without ever having to get out of their vehicles. We hope that as many people as possible will be able to take advantage of this event. For more info, please call 292.3171.

Recent events may have you feeling scared, stressed, and overwhelmed it’s ok not to be ok all the time, and during hard times like this, you may need more support and connection. Practice self-care, ease back into your routines, talk to others about how you’re feeling, and speak up or seek help if you need extra support right now.
