July 22, 2017 saw the " first official game " of Skidrow Streetball League. GLADYS PARK(13) vs VBL (Venice Beach League) (7). August 5th, the League will be at Staples Center. Look forward to seeing everyone.

PRESSURE ON CITY HALL:.....Skid Row's 3 election challenges were upheld by a Review panel last week....The panel recommended a new election WITHOUT online voting. The problem is, though, the City's Department of Neighborhood Empowerment (DONE), which oversees all neighborhood council actions, clearly states in their Subdivision Election Manual that of the 5 penalty options for election challenges, "A new election IS NOT a remedy". The Skid Row Neighborhood Council-Formation C...ommittee thereby sees the appropriate option as either of the DISQUALIFICATION options (Candidate or Votes), which from that ALL logical conclusions automatically point to Skid Row getting it's own neighborhood council.
