I look back on my time visiting Sam's so fondly. I remember being a struggling college student and not having enough money to buy my first meal of the day (dinn...er) during midterm week. I was so lucky that when I stumbled upon Sam's Mediterranean that they covered the cost of my food and filled me up with not just delicious shawarmas but warmth and love. After they had covered my costs AND free french fries, I would become a regular throughout college and after because their food was so good and the company was so sweet. Whenever I went through tough times, dropping by at Sam's helped me feel loved and a part of my community. Having graduated 5 years ago I still take an annual trip to visit and say hello to his beautiful family and they always gift me a shawarma, baklava and drink to go. I cannot say enough how warm and loving his family is. It breaks to my heart that Sam and his family are going through tough times with the loss of family and having to pause their business for a year to safely take care of their loved one during the pandemic. Through these hard times, I still manage to find some sort of sanity . As you all know, my love and passion for cooking is unstoppable.
