Take this opportunity to check out our event hall. Join United Pomona Valley M.E.Ch.A and the Latina/o Roundtable in a film screening for a documentary called "Rubble Kings". We will be showing the film and having a dialogue. This event will provide networking opportunities, children activities, community counselors, food, books, art, and college information. ALL AGES. FREE COMMUNITY EVENT.... https://www.facebook.com/events/1846363232252328/ Using this film we will talk about what happens when people stop fighting each other and start creating with one another. We are aiming at bringing troubled youth and showing them the light. We want to show them what great things they can accomplish when they stop fighting each other and start working together. "From 1968 to 1975, gangs ruled New York City. Beyond the idealistic hopes of the civil rights movement lay a unfocused rage. Neither law enforcement nor social agency could end the escalating bloodshed. Peace came only through the most unlikely and courageous of events that would change the world for generations to come by giving birth to hip-hop culture. Rubble Kings chronicles life during this era of gang rule, tells the story of how a few extraordinary, forgotten people did the impossible, and how their actions impacted New York City and the world over." - http://rubblekings.com
