yes, I believe that is a chocolate donut. So, we were at JD Crowe's Convention in San Diego at the Behia Hotel, I had a 380.00 a night 4-room sweet right on th...e beach and Jack talks me into going to Mexico for the day Well there were a few incidents there an we didn’t make it back to the US that day. Jack finds us a hotel that was only 14.00 a night. As we walk in I notice it had big iron gates on the front an thought it was a little strange that they locked from the outside, I find my room and see there’s no glass in the windows just wire mesh. And I could see that at one time those doors locked from the outside also. I came to the conclusion this was and old asylum. It was very noisy most the night as all the sounds carried in the courtyard. I couldn’t help cussing at Jack thinking about the deluxe room I was paying for on the beach sitting empty. About 3 am there were two people arguing right outside my door. So I do what I always do, swing open the door naked and yell Shut The F--- Up! It was kind of weird but the two people took off running. It was quite the rest of the night. At some point the next day Jack comes up to me with handfuls of M-1.000s he bought off some guy that had a sign We have the biggest Mothers (these are almost 6 inches long) He wants to blow them off but I’m thinkin I really don’t want to go to jail in Mexico. (I’ve seen the movies) So I figure well just smuggle them back into the US and Blow them off. I had a bunch of videos I bought, I pull them out and filled them up with the big mothers. As we are coming back into the US I see their checking people out kind of close. An after lookin at me an Jack I’m thinkin maybe this wasn’t such a good Idea. When we get up there this guy in a suit with a wife and a new baby are standing there and the grab him an take him and his family into the back room to search them an let us go through. Guess we looked to guilty to be doing anything illegal See more
Over the 64 years that he owned his shop, Pullins Cyclery, James Vernon Pullins sold Harley Davidsons for a time and was also a rider. This photo is from the c...ollection of Armando Magri who I assume is the son or grandson of Armando Magri who along with his brother Ernesto owned Magri Brothers Harley Davidson in Sacramento. Both Armando and Ernesto worked at Pullins Cyclery back in the 1930's. See more

First time posting here but figured yesterday was 7 years since the passing of Rhode Island Tattoo legend Ronnie Daigle. Apprentice of sailor west, Ronnie open...ed Shop in 1959 here in providence, and today the Shop is still open at the same location on eddy st. Around 2014 my best friend in tattooing and Ronnies last apprentice Victor Morales, started filming a DIY documentary to keep the history of Rhode Island tattooing alive. Sadly a lot of the people in this documentary have since passed away, electric Eric, buddy Mott, even victor at only 27 years old. The film was never completed as we don’t know how to finish it. Last year mark Mahoney came into the shop and filmed something for his own movie, and showed us his first tattoo with some great stories. I’ve been documenting all I can about Rhode Island tattooing, especially Ronnie, but if anyone had any info to share feel free to message me, or post on here. If the film ever gets completed I will be sure to credit any sources. Again this is a DIY project, no money or BS greasy non-tattoo suit types involved. Here’s a trailer we made years ago. Stay healthy and much love to the Tattoo community See more
