The Wuhan Virus California lockdown continues, but empty roads and beautiful weather got us out for a 160 mile trip through the Sierras east of Sacramento. Two CB750's and my 400F had a really good day!

Sounds of Japanese horsepower, from the ex-Gary Davis #890 racer 1972 Trackmaster Honda 350. A blast from the past from the Vintage Motorcycle Rescue collection.

Many of our VJMC members are planning to attend and enter their show bikes in the 11th Annual Quail Motorcycle Gathering in Carmel on May 4, 2019. This is the top motorcycle show on the Pacific coast, if not the entire country, and should not be missed. The top billing goes to the 50th Anniversary of the Honda CB750, which has its own Class to be judged. A large number of CB750's are expected on the show field.

A very rare piece of Honda factory history, the only custom paint sets ever offered by the factory. Known as the Flying Dragon, they are very rare today.

On Saturday, October 6, 2018, Sacramento Valley VJMC joined the Classic Japanese Motorcycle Club (CJMC) on a 240 mile ride from Rocklin, CA, to Grass Valley, Downieville, Sierraville, Truckee, Auburn, and Rocklin. These photos show the 14 bikes and 16 riders at the start, Two Rivers Restaurant in Downieville, and at a fuel stop in Sierraville. There was light rain over the Yuba Gap on State Highway 49 at 6,700 feet, otherwise it was cool and pleasant riding. One CB550 lost electric power at 28 miles and dropped out, and a Kawasaki 750 GT triple ran out of gas five miles from Sierriaville and had to be rescued. No other problems.

Saturday, October 6, 2018, Sacramento Valley VJMC will be joining the vintage CJMC for their Downieville 240 mile ride, which leaves from Denny's in Rocklin, CA at 8:30 a.m. If you're interested in going, send an email or message and more details will be provided to you. We need you to RSVP so we know who is going and what Japanese bike you're going to be riding. If rain is expected the ride will be postponed. CONTACT [email protected].
