During the Virtual Gala, Cal-APABA will be presenting the Judge of the Year Award to Justice Ming Chin (ret.), California Supreme Court. We also will be presenting the Trailblazer Award to Ruthe Ashley, Executive Director Emeritus of California LAW; the Lawyer of the Year Award to Christopher Punongbayan, the Executive Director of California ChangeLawyers; and the Bar Association of the Year Award to Pan Asian Lawyers of San Diego. In addition to honoring our awardees, we will be partnering with Stop AAPI Hate in support of their important work tracking and analyzing data on, and bringing public awareness to, the disturbing rise of hate crimes and hate incidents against Asian Americans / Pacific Islanders. #ThrowbackTuesday in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment. In March 2020, the SCBA hosted its second Annual International Women's Day with guest speakers Justice Connie Callahan, Judge of the Year Hon. Stacy Boulware Eurie, Hon.
