What a fun morning at Alta sierra school...the garden is shaping up and lots of parents and kiddos joined us to clean up the garden and enjoy a story in the library after. Thanks to Carol Scofield, Ed Scofield and Kimberly Parker for the garden time and especially to Kimberly for reading " Extraordinary" to the kids.

And we're "Live" thanks to the efforts of some special men and women in our club. First meeting in person, with ZOOM also, at our new location in the Litton Building. It was so exciting to actually see each other! Our program speakers were our incoming Presidents Norma Moore and Melissa Collins. Watch out world...here we come. These women and our executive team have a busy, making a difference year in store for all of us. The energy and enthusiasm in the room was exciting. Heartfelt thanks to David Jones our 20-21 President for not only keeping us afloat....growing and doing during a difficult year. We'll be celebrating his achievements next week....Oh what fun we'll have!

What happens when you gather 9 Rotarians and three guests at a work project????? MAGIC!!! What an honor to partner with Alicia Alonso, Librarian and Children's Garden volunteer at Alta Sierra School. After a year of no real care because of the pandemic we were able to begin the process of bringing this very special corner of the school back to life. The pictures are before, after and what to do yet. Stay tuned....we have so many wonderful ideas to enhance this space for the children and our community.

Last night's Social Meeting was sooo much fun....even though the technical issues were challenging! District Governor Elect, Anita Daniels, inducted our new member, Melissa Collins. Thank you for adding your special touch to make it memorable. AND THEN .....there was the competition! President David challenged all attending to prepare a favorite appetizer and/or signature drink! Attending members and family voted on the winners! DRUM ROLE PLEASE...... Maudie Walker was the winner in the appetizer category (Bacon wrapped prawns) and Julie Siegenthaler, guest and soon to be member, was the winner in the Signature drink category (Mi Tai) President David supplied the prizes.... each winner won tickets for 4 to an Off Broadstreet production when their season resumes.
