In celebration of Earth Day, we are sharing with you and your children some Earth Day activities. Below books focus on trees from a different perspective and have wonderful illustrations. After reading the books, think of a way to record your knowledge and share it with others. Tell Me Trees by Gail Gibbons Who Will Plant A Tree by Jerry Pallotta... Tree Lady by Joseph Hopkins Tree, Leaves and Bark by Diane Burns Kate, Who Tamed the Wind by Liz Garton Scanlon Other #earthday fun activities Write a nonfiction book on trees focusing on one specific tree species or a different tree for each page Draw some large leaves and write down a tree fact or importance of trees in our ecosystem on each leaf and attach the leaves to a large tree drawing. Paint leaves from various trees on stones for your garden. Design a t-shirt using Sharpies celebrating all the things you can do to help protect the Earth. #earthday #distancelearning #trees
