Thank you to everyone who came out to the show last Sunday. We are happy to welcome our longtime friend Chris Marrinan as a guest to our show this coming Sunday. Chris Marrinan started out in commercial illustration churning out product art for dish soap and restaurant menus, but the lure to draw comics was powerful. He sent samples to Eclipse Comics and the rest is history. Before long Chris landed the plum job at DC Comics as penciler on Wonder Woman! This was followed by a move to Marvel Comics, where Chris drew such icons as Dr. S...trange, Captain America, Nova, and Spider-Man and Wolverine! Back at DC, Chris drew adventures of both Superman and Batman. Chris has also drawn for Dark Horse Comics, and at Image Comics, his own book, HeadHunters. Chris continues to draw for Heroic Publications on titles like Psyche, Liberty Girl and Vanguard of Liberty. He is also at work on his Patreon page, showcasing new art and an upcoming comic series. We are delighted to announce that artist/inker Sam de la Rosa will be joining us on October 25th at the Placer County Events Center. Sam de la Rosa's work on VENOM LETHAL PROTECTOR #1-6 is the basis for the worldwide successful billion-dollar grossing VENOM MOVIE. Since 1982 Sam drew finished art/ink art for Marvel, DC, Disney, Image, and Dark Horse among others. His credits include Spider-Man, Venom, Carnage (MAXIMUM CARNAGE storyline), Black Panther, The Avengers, Star Wars..., Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, and more! He worked on Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Firestorm, and others for DC Comics. In 1989 at Dark Horse he worked on the first Predator comicbook. Sam’s favorite work was always on Spider-Man, Venom, Carnage, and the Symbiotes! He currently does comic shows, store appearances, and commission art, pencils, inks, re-creations on request. Hello Everyone! After our SacAnime Swap Meet yesterday at the Placer County Event Center, we are pleased to announce our Roseville Comic Con Swap Meet will go ahead on the original date of October 25th. Masks will be required at the event, and social distancing is enforced. ... There will be 10' between vendor booths and 25' aisles. We will have Drewski's, Nor Cal Kitchen and Maui Wowi on site for all your dining needs. We will be announcing our first special guest this week. Thank you all for your interest in the July 12th show. With the pandemic on the rise again, the executive staff have made the decision to cancel the show. We did not feel comfortable being told to run a show in an indoor hall, against the recommendations of the Placer County Health Department. We will update soon on any other shows that may be coming soon.
